1. Freeze the publication record
Confirm the final title, subtitle, author name, edition, ISBNs or other identifiers, description, categories, keywords, publication date, price, territories, and publisher/imprint information. Those details should not drift from one platform to another.
2. Finish and validate the files
Do not launch while the ebook or print interior is still changing. Finalize proofreading, update navigation and contents, validate the EPUB, proof the print PDF, and confirm the cover matches the final specifications.
3. Build the permanent destinations
Create the author page, book page, publisher page, and any permanent network placements before sending traffic. Promotion works better when every interview, article, social post, and press mention points to durable pages that remain useful after launch week.
4. Prepare the media package
Have a short and long author bio, book description, cover image, author photo, interview topics, sample questions, contact details, retailer links, and a concise press release or media pitch ready before outreach begins.
5. Launch, measure, and keep publishing
Publication day is a milestone, not the end of discovery. Continue adding articles, interviews, excerpts, topic pages, reviews, and internal links that deepen the book’s entity footprint and give search and AI systems more trustworthy context.
